40 Incredible Fall Travel Destinations to Visit Right Now 🍂

From New England leaves to Bavarian beer, here are 40 amazing fall travel destinations perfect for September, October, and November escapes.
After 10 round-the-world trips and 175-plus countries, I can tell you that fall is when the travel gods really shine.
Fewer crowds. Softer light. Better prices. And that shoulder-season sweet spot between summer scorch and winter chill.
Across Europe, fall is prime time. Cooler temperatures, clear skies, and fewer tour buses make the continent a joy to explore. I’ll cover a handful of favorites here to help you narrow it down.
On the flip side, many consider Florida and the Caribbean off-limits in the fall due to hurricane season. But there are a few smart exceptions for a sunny escape, and we’ll highlight those, too.
Note: This post may contain affiliate links. If you choose to book through these links, I receive a small commission, which I will undoubtedly blow on more flights (it’s a vicious cycle). All of this internet voodoo takes place at no additional cost to you.
Here, I’ve rounded up 40 of the world’s best places to visit in September, October, and November. From leaf-peeping classics and national parks to off-the-radar islands, each fall destination shines in fall for a specific reason.
So, grab your sweater and your pumpkin spice latte and let’s get started.
