The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco
Believe it or not, I spend much more of my time traveling for business than for pleasure. Sometimes, I’m lucky enough to travel to beautiful places in the course of my job. When that does happen, I often don’t make the time to enjoy it. So on my trip to San Francisco this weekend for a football game in Palo Alto, I decided to take a few hours to enjoy one of America’s most beautiful cities. Though I’ve been to San Francisco several times, I’d never visited the Golden Gate Bridge. Yesterday, after landing at SFO, I headed into town and drove across bridge stopping at lookout points on both sides and then walking across for some great shots of Alcatraz. It was a gorgeous sunny fall day and the bridge really is magnificent. It just goes to show that in business, as in life, sometimes it’s important to stop and smell the roses.
