Photo of the Day – Little Corn Island Nicaragua

Just 40 miles off the coast of mainland Nicaragua, the Corn Islands are perhaps the last remaining truly unspoiled slice of Caribbean paradise. While Big Corn is home to the islands’ only airport, Little Corn Island Nicaragua is the true gem in this island duo. Reachable only by inter-island panga (which can often be a rough ride) Little Corn has no roads and no motorized vehicles. Expect to be met at the dock by your lodging representative with a luggage wheelbarrow and a smile. Jungle paths across the tiny island lead to charming beachside bungalows like those at Little Corn Beach & Bungalow. But it’s not just cars that are missing on Little Corn, there’s also no power on the island (except by generator) from 5am – 2pm each day. Not to worry, in a palm-shaded, beachside hammock with a cold Toña in hand, you won’t miss it.
