It’s the third largest city in California and the heart of Silicon Valley…and this weekend San Jose is hosting my ESPN crew for the BYU @ San Jose State game tonight. It’s a welcome break from the chill of the Big 10 for a weekend and it’s nice to get back to the weekly cross-country travel I’d gotten used to during the past few seasons on the PAC 12 tour (not to mention a nifty little mileage run as we near the end of the year!). Tomorrow, I’ll head up the 101 to spend the day in San Francisco before hopping a redeye to Detroit to work a Tuesday night football game in Toledo followed by a Thanksgiving weekend game somewhere yet to be determined (nothing like a little ambiguity in your Thanksgiving weekend). Three college football games in 7 days is a first for me but thankfully the season is quickly drawing to a close and in just a few weeks it’ll be time to hit the road for Round the World #8!

I'm Jenny McIver, career girl, globetrotter. On New Year's Day, 2005, a newspaper article about a man who took a trip around the world sparked a wanderlust in me that has yet to abate. I spent the following year planning my own trip-of-a-lifetime and have since made it into an annual, month-long adventure visiting and writing about more than 130 countries on all 7 continents along the way - all while maintaining a full-time career. Today, my goal is to be that spark of inspiration for others by proving that you can fulfill your wildest travel dreams without quitting your day job.
What a gorgeous view over San Jose! I would love to visit there in the future
