I’ve got Chile on the brain today as I continue the planning for RTW #8. Last year, I explored Easter Island by way of the luxury eco-lodge explora Rapa Nui. I was so impressed by the explora concept that I’ve since been obsessed by the idea of visiting their other two Chilean lodges – Patagonia and Atacama. This year, my adventure to Antarctica (which departs from Ushuaia, Argentina) will bring me too close to Patagonia to resist squeezing in a visit to explora’s Hotel Salto Chico in the heart of the Torres del Paine National Park. Still trying to work out the logistics (which are substantial in that part of the world) but I hope to be able to add it to the RTW #8 itinerary…stay tuned!
