Iowa City’s Old Capitol Building, a national historic landmark
Sometimes it’s not just about new countries, it’s about new U.S. states and this weekend I’m checking the state of Iowa off my list! It’s another stop on the ESPN Big 10 college football tour and so far Iowa City seems like a charming Midwestern college town straight out of central casting. The main drag of Clinton Street is home to a number of bars and restaurants including Iowa City’s most legendary spot, the Airliner, where Ashton Kutcher was discovered 15 years ago. The leaves are already turning deep shades of gold, orange and red and it looks like it’ll be a perfect fall weekend for some Hawkeye football!
