I’d never really experienced Colorado as a tourist before, just business trips to Boulder for football games. So this past weekend was a great opportunity to see all that the summer months have to offer in the Rocky Mountains. While attending the annual Travel Bloggers Exchange (TBEX) conference in Keystone, Colorado, I stayed at the lovely Keystone Lodge. With peaks soaring to over 12,000ft, the Keystone Resort area is home to three mountains and six neighborhoods, each with numerous options for dining, lodging and activities in any season. I would imagine the summer months bring throngs of skiers to its 20 lifts and 3,000+ skiable acres but the quieter summer months offer hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing and a multitude of other activities for families and adventure-enthusiasts alike. I loved the sunshine and warm weather on the mountain in June but I look forward to going back someday to try out the ski season!

I'm Jenny McIver, career girl, globetrotter. On New Year's Day, 2005, a newspaper article about a man who took a trip around the world sparked a wanderlust in me that has yet to abate. I spent the following year planning my own trip-of-a-lifetime and have since made it into an annual, month-long adventure visiting and writing about more than 130 countries on all 7 continents along the way - all while maintaining a full-time career. Today, my goal is to be that spark of inspiration for others by proving that you can fulfill your wildest travel dreams without quitting your day job.
