Along the French Riviera in Cannes
At the heart of the sun-splashed “Côte d’Azur” the French resort town of Cannes is probably best known as home to the world’s most famous film festival. Cradled between the Alps and the Mediterranean, the French Riviera calls to mind images of sun, sand, glitz and glamour. Each summer, the Old Port is dotted with yachts and stylish holiday-goers stroll the boutiques of the Rue d’Antibes. In May, the entertainment world descends on Cannes for the annual Cannes Film Festival and for those few days the eyes of the world are on this seaside town. But the Riviera offers more than just beaches and luxury hotels; visitors can test their olfactory skills in the perfume capital of the world in nearby Grasse or explore the perched villages of Eze and Gourdon.
