Photo of the Day – Toronto, Canada
Built in 1976, the CN Tower defines the skyline of North America’s fifth-largest city. Part national icon and part engineering wonder, there are a variety of options for visiting the World’s Tallest Tower. If the glass floor lookout or outdoor observation area aren’t enough to satisfy your thirst for adrenaline, Toronto has recently followed the death-defying Kiwis by adding the new “EdgeWalk” to the CN Tower. Like the Sky Walk around Auckland’s Sky Tower, the EdgeWalk allows visitors to attach themselves to a harness and walk all the way around the top of the tower – stopping to dangle 116 stories over downtown Toronto (like those in the photo). Opened on August 1st, the EdgeWalk is the world’s highest full circle hands-free walk and the first of its kind in North America - it’s truly for those who like to live life ”on the edge.”
