Photo of the Day – Aruba Iguana
Wildlife abounds on Aruba but none more prevalent than the island’s large iguanas. Like chameleons, these giant members of the lizard family change color to adapt to their surroundings. From an electric green shade when scurrying among the lush foliage to boulder brown when sunning themselves on the rocky shoreline, their camouflage talent often means you don’t see them until you’re close enough to be startled. But fear not, despite their imposing spiky scales, these legally-protected animals are perfectly harmless.
