We arrived in Greece last night and made it to the apartment just in time for sunset. For my 7th visit to the island of Mykonos, I again choose Marietta’s apartments located right by the windmills in the scenic area of Little Venice. The sunset views from the balcony are simply too good to pass up.
Originally the traditional white-washed homes of Greek fishermen, the picturesque area of Little Venice today boasts fine restaurants, chic bars and acclaimed art galleries. It is one of the most photographed neighborhoods in all of Europe and until you’ve watched the sun melt into the Aegean Sea as the waves crash against its shoreline, you haven’t really been to Mykonos.
Tonight we’ll again be soaking in the sunset right from this spot followed by another night out on the town enjoying the colorful and energetic scene that is Mykonos nightlife. Til tomorrow…
