Seeing the World – One Month at a Time

Photo of the Day – St John, U.S.V.I.

Trunk Bay, Virgin Islands National Park

At 9 miles long and 3 miles wide St. John is the smallest of the three United States Virgin Islands.  Two thirds of the island is made up of the Virgin Islands National Park which makes it home to untouched forests and spectacular pristine beaches.  You won’t find an airport or cruise ship dock, but luckily St. John is easily accessible from larger St. Thomas via hourly ferry.  It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon while in port in St. Thomas or try one of St. John’s luxurious resorts and stay a while.
